THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

He was four years old, the son of an automobile dealer, and Mom just told him a new baby was coming into the family.

When Dad came, home, he was in his bedroom crying. Dad went in to see what was the matter.
Dad, "Son, why are you crying?"
Son, "Well, I'm only four years old and already you are going to make me a trade in on a newer model!"

Ezek 35:10-11
10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there:
11 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.

Focus on the thought: "...whereas the LORD was there." The people of Edom saw that God had brought punishment upon His people, and they thought the land would be "easy pickings."

Think of that. No matter what God's design upon His people, He is ALWAYS there!
Think of that. No matter what plans the devil or people have against God's elect, they face the same barrier!

The saints are God's heritage. He is always there to protect them. Even when it seems He's absent, He is indeed present!

Because of this, we may be constantly persecuted in this world, but we are continually preserved! God will never leave His people to the devices of the devil or others without His Divine protection!

The ole devil tests our faith by shooting arrows of doubt.
He attempts to thwart our work in Christ by sending a "flood" of words against it.
When we fail and sin, he tries to take away the "breastplate of righteousness" given by our Lord.
But God is ALWAYS THERE!

When we come to Christ and willingly take upon ourselves the "yoke" of servitude to Him, then we are given the "rest" of His presence!

Let us TRUST in that presence!
Let us LIVE in that presence!

Love ya,
Bruce
