THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
The preacher arrived home after performing a wedding, and his wife asked how it had gone.
He said, "Well, we were doing ok until I asked the Bride if she would obey. She asked, "Do you think I'm crazy?" Then, the Bridegroom, who was in sort of a daze, said, "I do!" Then, it got really exciting!"

Titus 3:3-7
3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Before we were saved, we were full of UNrighteousness and could do no righteousness.
After we are saved, we can do no righteousness except it proceed through us initiated by our Savior.
We are sinners all, and sinners all the time. Paul himself said, "For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do." (Rom 7:19)
God our Savior saved us by His mercy.
He washed us in His blood upon our pleading and surrender to His Lordship.
He filled us with His Holy Spirit to seal us until the day of redemption.
And He renews us in His love each and every day.
We can claim no good thing on our own. For, how can the branch produce anything without the sap from the Vine?
Let us meditate upon the history of our Lord's mercy and love toward us.
See how He met us on the road to hell, and informed us that He accepts u-turns!
See how He gives us His own righteousness and names us as His own!
See how He has woven the threads of our lives in order to pour upon us His grace!
See how He sustains us by His power from within through His Holy Ghost!
See what a wonderful inheritance He has guaranteed that "we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life!"
How wonderful it shall be to gaze upon Him for eternity!
How wonderful it shall be to know Him, even as He knows us!
Let us praise Him today and honor Him for His mercy and grace!
Love ya,
Bruce
