THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
A little boy went on a children's camp retreat. The camp had a chapel, to which all the children went each day.
He wrote home after his first visit to the chapel. "Mom and Dad, you should see this wonderful chapel. It has beautiful stained-glass windows with pictures of people who were famous in Jesus' time."

2 Peter 1:4
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

There is much ado today about the Bible being God's inspired, infallible, inerrant, complete Word to man.
Do we really BELIEVE it? If we DO, then we should ACT it! For we have become "partakers of the divine nature!"
Christians are born of the "blood of Christ."
Christians are born again by the same power which raised Christ from the dead - God's Holy Spirit.
Christians become members of the "body of Christ."
Christians are indeed the "Bride of Christ."
We are made to be "kings and priests" of our God forever.
We are "joint-heirs" with Christ.
This is not to say that we become "God." For the creature can never become the Creator.
However, we certainly become more LIKE God when we are born again. Having been saved, our NATURE is different. We take on part of the "Divine Nature!"
We have been given many "exceeding great and precious promises." Among them is the promise of heaven.
But also among those promises is the fact that God has "quickened us together with Christ." He has brought us to LIFE from the death decreed by our sins. He has made us ALIVE to the things of God!
God is truth. Let us then become true, and love truth.
God is holy. Let us then become "separate" from the world, living FOR Christ instead of AGAINST Him.
God came to "seek and to save." Let us then be evangelistic in our nature.
God is LOVE. Above all, then, let us live in the love of God. For "He that loveth not, knoweth not God." (1John 4:8)
Christian, if you really believe the Bible is God's inerrant, infallible, complete Word of God, then take a lesson from the potter (Jeremiah 18:1-6), and become MOLDABLE in God's hand!
Love ya,
Bruce
