THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

It seemed like Johnny slammed the door EVERY time he went in or out.
Mom asked, "Johnny, how are you ever going to get into heaven if you keep slamming the door like that?"
He said, "Easy, Mom. I'll just keep slamming the door until someone says, 'Either come in or go out.' And I'll just walk right in!"

Gal 5:17-18
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

If Christians view their lives from the top of Mt. Sinai, they will be thoroughly disgusted with the sin found. This view, through the law, brings despair at the beginning and ending of all human reasoning.
We are sinners all. And we are sinners all the time. And as Paul says in verse 17 above, "ye cannot do the things that ye would." No living flesh can be justified by the law!
Isn't it wonderful to know that it is not the strength of our faith that determines our end. It is the Object of our faith that determines our end! It's not a matter of being perfect in the law, but being perfectly accepted in Christ Jesus!
Praise God! We are not "under the law!" We are "under the blood!"
Now, once we learn this, wouldn't one think we would apply the same thought to ALL Christians who exhibit faith in Christ? Shouldn't we be ready to receive any and all who come naming the Name above all names?
When we find ourselves sinful, let us be "led of the Spirit" to our knees begging forgiveness.
When we find other Christians sinful, let us be "led of the Spirit" to love, encourage and forgive.
Love ya,
Bruce
