THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Once, while performing a wedding, everything was calm and peaceful.
Then, I asked the bride if she promised to "obey" her husband.
She looked at me incredulously, and asked, "Do you think I'm CRAZY?"
The groom had been in sort of a daze.
Then, he said, "I do."
That wedding got very exciting!!

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

From the time our life begins, we all "labour" in sin, and are "heavy laden" with the consequences of sin.
But Jesus calls, saying, "Come unto me."
Surrender of ourselves to Jesus yields "rest," or peace with God.
Through Him, and Him alone, we find forgiveness and a right relationship with God.
From the time we surrender to Christ, until we are ushered into glory, His call is still:
"Come unto me."
Come closer.
Stand nearer.
Pray often, speaking to Him of every circumstance, doubt and fear.
Study His Word daily, learning to grow and be more like Him.
Ya don't hafta be "crazy" to "trust and obey" Jesus.
Ya hafta be "crazy" NOT to!!
The way of the world offers the heavy burden of guilt to our souls.
The way of Christ offers "rest" unto our souls.
It's a no-brainer!
