THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Mom was taking her son to his kindergarten school. She noticed he was looking at the traffic, then looking at her.
In a few moments, he asked, "Mom, do the idiots only come out when Dad is driving?"

Lev 19:33-35
33 And if a stranger sojourn with thee in your land, ye shall not vex him.
34 But the stranger that dwelleth with you shall be unto you as one born among you, and thou shalt love him as thyself; for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.
35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in meteyard, in weight, or in measure.
KJV

Are we guilty of turning the pounds of other people's character into ounces? Sometimes the balances which we use to measure other people's character are tipped by what is happening in our own lives. For instance, in the example above, Dad probably judged people as to whether they were in as much hurry as he. And that presents a problem. It is unrighteousness in judgment.
It is interesting to note that at the same time God said we must have a correct scale and balance for business, we must also be righteous in judgment of others. Having unrighteousness in judgment is as much sin as cheating!
Honesty in respect of another person is as important as honesty in business behavior.
Do we determine another person's character by their appearance?
By their wealth?
By the place they live?
By their prominence?
By their national origin?
The answer is "no" to all of the above!
We must remember that the imagery of "Egypt" in the Bible represents slavery and darkness.
We were once slaves to the darkness of sin. Only by grace we learned of the truth of Christ that set us free.
As we have received grace, let us also give grace!
And let us not forget to offer the grace of Christ to others, that they may be set free!
Love ya,
