THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A woman was at work when she received a phone call that her daughter was very sick with a fever. She left her work and stopped by the pharmacy to get some medication. She got back to her car and found that she had locked her keys in the car.
She didn't know what to do, so she called home and told the baby sitter what had happened. The baby sitter told her that her the fever was getting worse. She said, "You might find a coat hanger and use that to open the door."
The woman looked around and found an old rusty coat hanger that had been thrown down on the ground, possibly by someone else who at some time or other had locked their keys in their car. Then she looked at the hanger and said, "I don't know how to use this."
So she looked up toward the sky and asked God to send her some help. Within five minutes an old rusty car pulled up, with a dirty, greasy, bearded man who was wearing an old biker skull rag on his head. The woman thought, "This is what you sent to help me?" But, she was desperate, so she was also very thankful.
The man got out of his car and asked her if he could help. She said, "Yes, my daughter is very sick. I stopped to get her some medication and I locked my keys in my car. I must get home to her. Please, can you use this hanger to unlock my car?"
He said, "Sure". He walked over to the car, and in less than a minute the car was opened. She hugged the man and through her tears she said, "Thank You So Much! You are a very nice man."
The man replied, "Lady, I am not a nice man. I just got out of prison today. I was in prison for car theft and have only been out for about an hour."
The woman looked up again and with sobbing tears cried out loud, "Oh, Thank you God! You even sent me a Professional!"

Ps 123
1 A Song of degrees.
Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens.
2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.
4 Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

This ole world is filled with "pride" (verse 4), and there is plenty of "contempt" (verse 3) for moral integrity.
This fact presents quite a problem for the born-again believer in Christ Jesus. Believers desire to follow God's Word, and to try and live a moral life. It is our desire to "wait upon," or serve the Lord our God. His WORD is our guide for morality.
However, believers do "fall short" of keeping God's Word (vs3), and this brings accusations of "hypocrite" from unbelievers (vs4). Needless to say, the believer is faced with anxiety and pressure trying to live morally in this world. Therefore, we must continually "lift up" our eyes toward God and seek His "mercy" (verses 1-2).
God has promised to help us if we'll pray and talk to Him about our problems.
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)
God is merciful toward His children and gives the power of His Holy Spirit to live righteously in an immoral world. He also grants "peace" to them as they fight that battle.
As you live your life today, "KEEP LOOKING UP!"
Love ya,
Bruce
