THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Two taxidermists stopped before a window and immediately began to criticize the way an owl had been mounted. They said,
his eyes were not natural,
his wings were not in proportion to his head, and
his feet were swollen and crooked.
Just as they began to walk away. The old owl slowly turned his head and winked at them!
MORAL: When you criticize truth, nothing looks right!

Prov 17:15
He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD.
KJV

There are two different verses from Proverbs used in today's devotion. Both contain the word "abomination." That word means disgusting or abhorred. The word abomination is used 17 times in the book of Proverbs. In all of those usages things are described which are disgusting to or abhorred by God.
When "scorners" mock the Word of God (even if they are justices), they are an "abomination" to God!
"... if we are to maintain a just society, there have to be some things, such as the sanctity of life and marriage, that aren't up for termination and redefinition." ((Quoted from Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Council))
Our US Constitution purposefully provides for three SEPARATE branches of government. Legislative to enact laws, Judicial to interpret usage of laws, and Executive to enforce laws. When the judicial branch decrees an order to the legislative branch that's a breech of the "separation of powers." And when the judicial branch overrules the executive branch, it is the same.
One might ask, "What can I do as a Christian about this?"
1st -- PRAY!
2nd -- Keep up with what's happening.
3rd -- Contact your State and National Representatives and Senators when a controversial issue is about to be introduced or voted on.
When the REAL TRUTH is criticized, stand up and speak up!
Love ya,
Bruce
