THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

The golfer was really having a BAAAAD day!
The caddie was stiff-mouthed, trying not to laugh.
Finally, on the 7th hole, the golfer said, "I think I'm gonna drown myself in the lake!"
Caddie, "Do you think you can keep your head down that long?"

Gen 9:28-29
28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

Noah lived 950 years. But we notice in the Bible that AFTER Noah, life begins to shorten. The canopy of water that filtered out the ultraviolet rays was dumped. And man's lifespan began to decrease. There's a reason for that.
Sin was first found in Adam and Eve. Sin has since been found in every human being, except our Lord Jesus.
The WAGES of sin is DEATH (Rom. 6:23). As a friend of mine says often, "The old MUST die, and the young DO die."
Our sinfulness doesn't only affect us. It affects others also. Even the earth and all in it suffer because of our sin.
Rom 8:22-23
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
But the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ! (Rom. 6:23) Though we are sinners all, God has a PLAN for eternal redemption of the sinner. The plan is surrender to Jesus as Lord.
God CONTINUES to work through sinful man and offer redemption to those who will come to Christ humbly, admitting sinfulness, and pleading for His mercy and grace. You might say, the offer is made to those who come with their "head down."
And God's grace is continually poured out to those who "keep their head down."
Keep your head down!
