THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

The young man was having a terrible time with self-confidence. He went to see a psychiatrist.

After an evaluation, the psychiatrist said, "You need to learn how to change your manner of speaking. Learn to avoid using words like 'don't' and 'can't'. Is it possible for you to learn that?"

The young man said, "I don't see why I can't."

2 Tim 1:12
For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Paul was in prison. The "cause" of his suffering and being imprisoned was preaching the Gospel! Still, he was "not ashamed" of that Gospel!

Paul preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ boldly.
And he preached it without apology, everywhere he went.

Paul stated the reason for his incessant boldness in preaching Jesus: "I know whom I have believed!"

He knew Christ as God! Paul had been met by Christ on the road to Damascus, and had been blinded by the fullness of Christ's glory. He also knew Christ as the One Who healed him from that blindness. And, he knew Christ as the One Who called him to preach the Gospel. ((See Acts 9:1-18))

Jesus had literally and totally changed Paul's life. Jesus had changed him from being a persecutor of the Gospel to being a propagator of the Gospel.

This is what happens when we know Christ! When we come to know Him as Lord and Savior, we also come to know Him as:
the ONLY Truth,
the ONLY Way,
and the ONLY Life!

Then we are unafraid and unashamed to share the wonderful news of Jesus with others. Because we also know Him as the One who is able to keep our life in exigent circumstances, and our soul in eternity.

JESUS! If ya know Him, ya gotta tell others!

Love ya,
