THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
After a very long and boring sermon the parishioners filed out of the church saying nothing to the preacher.
Towards the end of the line was a thoughtful person who always commented on the sermons.
"Pastor, today your sermon reminded me of the peace and love of God!"
The pastor was thrilled. "No-one has ever said anything like that about my preaching before. Tell me why."
"Well - it reminded me of the Peace of God because it passed all understanding and the Love of God because it endured forever!"

In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

When we surrender to Christ as Lord, the peace of knowing forgiveness and
eternal life with Christ in heaven fills our soul.
However there is still trouble in the world!
Therefore, there is trouble in our goings and doings!
We still have to face:
a world full of envy and strife,
a government that is a political shambles,
the disappointment of sickness,
paying taxes,
and even the sadness of death.
As we face a world full of trouble each day, it is good to remember:
our peace does not depend on the circumstances of this day.
Our peace depends upon our relationship with Jesus!
Jesus said it is "in Me" that we have peace.
He also said, "In the world ye shall have tribulation!"
As you leave home today, remember to thank Jesus.
"For HE is our peace....," Eph 2:14
