THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><>
A young boy had just got his driver's license. His Dad sent him to the store to fill the car with gas. After he had paid and driven away, he realized he'd left the gas cap on top of the car.
Knowing he'd have to face Dad, he stopped to think about the situation. Surely there had been others who had done the same thing. If he drove back, and walked along the roadside, he might find his gas cap - or at least someone else's.
So he drove back. Looking along the side of the road, he found THREE gas caps! And one of them even FIT! As he twisted it down, it fell into place with a satsfying click.
"Great!" he thought. "I've found one that fits, and it even locks......UHOH!"

Prov 19:20
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

As Christians, we've just received our "license" to practice faith. Our Father sends us on an errand to fill our "tanks" with Christ and the Word of God.
Our Father's desire is for us to grow through the experiences of life and become adults who are useful to Him in the world.
So often, we try to fill our "tanks" with something ELSE. And it doesn't "fit" right in our lives.
We must remember to heed God's counsel and follow His instruction. God gives us the BEST of guidance for virtually every situation in life. His instruction is found in the Bible. If we truly desire His leadership, we will study our Bibles.
We should also remember that we have to face our Father at the "latter end." And our desire is to hear Him say, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant.." (Matthew 25:21).
Let us study our Bibles and follow God's instruction.
And don't forget to put the correct "cap" on -- seal it with prayer.
Love ya,

Practice does not "make perfect" if we aren't using the right tools.
