THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
As long as you laugh at your troubles, you can be sure you'll never run out of something to laugh at.
Laughing is not a funny matter to the brain. It is a release of pressure that allows us to think the unthinkable, accept the unacceptable, develop new relationships, adjust better and maintain mental health.
Having said that, have you heard about the little boy who was disciplined in school for laughing out loud in class?
He told the teacher, "I didn't mean to laugh. It started with a smile, and the smile BUSTED!"

Gen 18:10-15
10 And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 And the LORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old?
14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
15 Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

God promised Sarah would have a son. The Lord and Abraham must've been outside the tent talking, and Sarah was listening just inside the door (see the last part of vs 10). She was out of sight, but not out of hearing.
When Sarah heard the promise, she laughed! She thought it was incredible, incomprehensible that she would have a child at this late age.
Nothing is hidden from the Lord. He heard Sarah laugh! He not only heard her laugh, but also heard her statement. God hears EVERYTHING! We should keep that in mind. NOTHING is hidden from the Lord! Adam and Eve tried hiding from God. Cain tried it too. But NOTHING is hidden from God!
Even though Sarah laughed, God still promised! He pointed out the fact that He'd heard Sarah, and then said, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"
Note there was no remonstration in the Lord's statement. Sometimes I think God enjoys doing the improbable and impossible just so we'll know how incredible He really is!
Just remember, even if something is unusual or out of the ordinary, God is capable of accomplishing it in His own time, and in any way He chooses. An angel told Mary, "For with God nothing shall be impossible." (Luke 1:37)
We waste so much time praying for menial, meager things! We should be praying for our Incredible God to do extraodinary things!
Love ya,
