Boudreaux, in South Louisiana of course, brought home an old dog. Clotile, his wife, said, "Boudreaux, you gots ta get rid o' dat dog!"
So Boudreaux carried the dog about a mile down the road and let him out. But when he got back home, the dog was there!
Clotile, said, "I t'ought I tell you to gots rid o' dat dog!"
So Boudreaux carried the dog about 4 or 3 miles down the road and let him out. But when he got back home, the dog was there!
He said, "Clotile, dat's one smart dog!" She said, "Boudreaux, git rid o' dat dog!"
So he carried the dog across the parish, criss-crossing his path on every road he could think of. Then he put the dog out. About 2 hours later, he called home. "Clotile, dat dog back dere yet?" She said, "Yep!"
Boudreaux said, "Put him on da phone, I'm LOST!"

The value system in our country is in a mess! Wouldn't you agree? Skin and facial creams are purchased to the tune of millions of dollars, while our heart strings are torn apart by subtle messages.
Every day our minds are bombarded by thematic advertisements which are aimed at devaluing integrity. For instance, on every TV ball game, the beer commercials have a theme: "you can't have fun without beer."
One salesman defended his shady business practices by saying, "Let's don't confuse ethics with business."
A cabinet member of a large nation was caught illegally dealing in precious stones. His cabinet position? Minister of Justice!
Listening to thematic messages every day is like the frog placed in cold water in a boiler on a stove. He'll just become acclimated to the water as it heats until he is boiled! What the frog needs is a catalyst to make him jump out -- like a pin prick or something.
God's Word is a catalyst to the world's corruption. His Word is able to return us to a good moral value system. His Word is "PURE!" It will "SHIELD" us from the millions of thematic messages we receive every day.
Therefore:
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." (Colossians 3:16)
