Bread is an important part of our diet, for it constitutes 1/5 of the staple diet.
Even so, corn and wheat must be planted, cultivated, harvested, and ground before they can be used to make bread.
And then, bread must be ingested and digested before it can become strength to our bodies.
And so it is with God's Word!
God has already planted; we must do the work of cultivating, harvesting, and meditating.
Most Christians hear many sermons, but little progress of growth is shown in their lives.
Perhaps it is because they listen, but never meditate upon God's Word.
Bread is indeed an important part of our lives.
Without ingestion and digestion, it cannot provide strength to our bodies.
In Jesus is "...life; and the life was(is) the light of men." (John 1:4)
The Word of God is MOST important in our lives.
For it is by God's Word that we have REAL LIFE!
Without hearing AND meditation, it cannot provide strength for our souls.
Without learning AND application, we cannot live according to our Lord's instructions.
ATTEND to God's Word!
Let it become the main part of your spiritual diet!
Love ya,
Bruce
