THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A young preacher, fresh out of seminary, took a church in the backwoods.
In his first sermon, he used the word "procrastination."
Later that day, an elderly man asked, "Preacher, what does that word "procrastination" mean?"
The young preacher replied, "Why, Brother, that is one of the main doctrines of the church!"

Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly.

Is it possible that procrastination HAS become one of the main doctrines of the church?
It seems the majority of church members intentionally and habitually delay evangelism.
Is that not "folly?"
Keep in mind that the word "folly" here is indicative of foolish behavior.
Now, we must admit, there is SOME foolishness in all of us.
But he that LIVES for foolishness exhibits the fact that he is "destitute of wisdom."
Another verse in Proverbs says, "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise." (Prov 11:30)
A person who truly loves God will not waste his life on foolishness.
A person who truly loves God will wisely invest some of his time in evangelistic behavior.
Christians, let us live exhibiting "a man of understanding," who "walketh uprightly."
Let us live in evangelization and not procrastination!
Living for Jesus is living to tell His story, and bring others to know Him.
Love ya,
Bruce
