THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
"As a new federal employee," wrote Carolyn Mickelson, "I felt a combination of
excitement and anxiety about meeting the strict standards of discretion and respect that our government imposes on its workers.
Fearful of making a costly mistake, I decided to read up on procedures and standards on the federal Office of Personnel Management web page.
I'm not sure if I was relieved or worried when I clicked on one page and found:
"Ethics: Coming Soon!""

2 Peter 3:13-14
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

As Christians, we have a great HOPE!
It is a SURE hope because it is founded upon the unfailing promise of our Lord, Jesus.
The Bible, from which I quote each day, has NEVER been proven wrong; not even in ONE verse!!
One day, and soon I believe, Jesus will form a "new heavens and a new earth!"
In that NEW one, there'll be NO sin!
For in it, "dwelleth righteousness!"
What a GREAT hope!
Peter says that since we have this great hope, we should be "diligent" in our actions.
The reason for diligence in character is to be "found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless."
We do not know when our Lord shall appear.
Let us live in holiness, for He may come TODAY!
Another reason for living with diligence in character is to give OTHERS this great hope.
Exhibiting that receiving Jesus makes a difference in our lifestyle gives others a reason to believe in Christ.
Live in the sureness of His great hope.
Give others a reason to surrender to Christ.
Love ya,
Bruce
