As Christians, we realize that life is temporary in this world.
We LIVE looking to the future!
And the manner in which we look at the future molds our living in today's world.
The eye of faith looks over the deep valley to the hill beyond.
Inspiration, joy, hope grows with each step toward that hill of the "New Jerusalem."
Looking toward that hill we see:
this body of sin destroyed,
the soul made incorruptible and immortal,
the gates of pearl open,
the streets of gold,
and the throne of our Christ!
Meditation upon this wonderful future assuages the pain of the past, and assures us in the darkness of the present.
Because, you see, that future is founded in the resurrected eternal Lord, Jesus Christ!
Meditation upon this wonderful future causes:
doubts to fall away,
fears to be relieved,
tears to be comforted,
and eternal glory fills our soul.
Looking there determines our living here!
Look beyond to live sure!
