THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><>

Quite a few years back, the baseball announcer Jerry Coleman was giving a "play-by-play" announcement of Dave Winfield when he played for the Padres. This is how it went.

"There's a long drive to center field. Winfield is going back, back, back. He hits his head on the wall! It's rolling to second base."

Phil 4:6-7
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Do you get nervous, upset, and anxious about some things? I do. Especially those things I cannot control.

God tells us to not be "anxious" about those things, but to take them to Him in prayer. Too often I find that those things which really make me nervous, are things I haven't genuinely left with God through the surrender of prayer.

We have a loving Father, Who genuinely wants to hear from us each day. Thank God, He LISTENS when we pray; and He WILL help!

It is when we acknowledge that God IS the answer to our problems, and give our worries to Him, that we have the "peace of God that passes understanding."

Have you given your worries to God today? Acknowledge HIM as the answer to all difficulties.

Love ya,
Bruce

If a concern is too small to be a matter of prayer, it is too small to be a burden.
