THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A priest and pastor from the local area were standing by the side of the road, working together, holding up a sign that read, "The End is Near! Turn around before it's too late!"
"Leave us alone you religious nuts!" yelled the first driver as he sped by.
From around the curve they heard screeching tires and a big splash.
"Do you think," said one clergy to the other, "we should just put up a sign that says 'Bridge Out' instead?”

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord.

In order to have the "excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord," I must first be enveloped in Him. I must first count all other things as loss in order to gain Him. I must yield myself to Him as Creator, Master, Lord, and Eternal Judge.
Christ has sought me with His love, giving me conviction.
He has bought me with His life, giving me redemption.
He has washed me in His blood, giving me justification.
He has sealed me in His Holy Spirit, giving me sanctification.
He has written my name in His "Book of Life," giving me glorification.
He is coming again to receive me, soon I believe.
Shall I not "count all things but loss" for Him?
Everything else is worthless when compared to the "excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord."
To KNOW His Person.
To KNOW His love.
To KNOW His closeness.
To KNOW His comfort.
To KNOW His peace.
To KNOW His purpose for my life.
Shall I not set aside a time in each day, that I will not allow to be disturbed, for the purpose of gaining the "excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord?"
In John 12:24, Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."
The principle of knowing the excellency of Christ is dying to self, and being enveloped in Him!
Love ya,
Bruce
