THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
I remember my Dad teaching me to save enough money to pay taxes.
He said, "Son, we elect people to serve in our country. And, we have to pay for their mistakes."
I asked, "Mistakes?"
He said, "Yes. I call it that because I would want to use a stronger word, like stupidity."
I asked, "Why would you say that?"
He said, "Well, last year they wanted more taxes to buy a school bus so the kids wouldn't have to walk to school. This year they want more taxes because they're building a gymnasium so kids can get exercise!"

Matt 22:21
17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.
20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
21 They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them,Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.

_______THOUGHT_________________________________________________________
The question was put to Jesus about paying taxes.
The purpose of the question was to try and discredit Him.
If he approved of paying taxes, then He supported Lordship to Caesar.
If he didn't approve, then He was a lawbreaker.
How about you?
Are you a loyal citizen, or a lawbreaker?
And, while on this subject, let's ask ourselves another question.
Are you a loyal Christian?
Do you support the "LORDSHIP" of Christ?
Or, are you "forgetting" to make the first line in your budget to "render...unto God the things that are God's"?
Physical obligations (like taxes) are due to your relationship with the government.
Spiritual obligations (like giving to the church) are due to your relationship with Christ!
Love ya,
