THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><>

An American astronaut was strapped into his capsule, ready to be launched, when a reporter asked via radio: "How do you feel?"

The astronaut replied, "How would you feel, if you were sitting on top of 150,000 parts, each supplied by the lowest bidder?"

Ps 118:8
"It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man."
(KJV)

<><><><><><><><><><><>

Sometimes, in this ole world, we feel sorta like that astronaut! All the parts don't seem to fit together! Sometimes things get "topsy turvy," and we wonder what's gonna happen next.

And if we look at the world, and what's going on in it, we have little hope of "getting off the ground," so to speak. The world offers many problems, but few solutions.

The verse quoted above, happens to be the MIDDLE verse of the Bible. Being placed in that particular position, we should know that God has something very important to say right there in the middle of the Bible.

And God DOES have something important to say. If we have our focus on the world, we're lookin' in the WRONG PLACE. If our hopes are laid on people we are soon to see them dashed on the rocks of despair.

But if we place our "trust in the Lord," then our hopes are secure. We must trust God to be in control. We must trust God to bring something good out of what we perceive to be bad. We must trust God to bring us to an "expected end;" that end being eternal salvation.

Once we place our FOCUS upon God, then the world can take a "back seat." Because then we're ready to launch out into what God can do, and not what man can do.

Love ya,
