THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
I read somewhere that the average human body contains 66 pounds of muscle, 42 pounds of bone and
only 31/2 pounds of brain.
Hmmmm - that explains a lot of things!

Ps 119:15
I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

Meditation is akin to mastication.
We must chew our food in order for it to deliver the nutrients to our body. The process which delivers the nutrients to the body is digestion. The stomach takes the food, breaks it down into minute particles, and delivers the food to the blood stream. But none of that happens unless we first masticate.
Truth lies inert in our brains unless we spiritually digest. It does no good to have corn in the field if we will not gather it. It does no good to have truth in the Bible if we do not gather it.
We must meditate upon God's Word in order for it to deliver right decisions to our spirits. The mind can only receive and store information. It must be carried to the heart in order for us to make decisions. But that won't happen unless we first meditate.
God has provided all we need to make proper decisions in our lives. However, we will act inappropriately if we do not spiritually digest His truths.
Meditation upon God's Word separates us from the thoughts of worldliness and settles us in the thoughts of godliness. The more time we spend meditating upon God's truths, the less time we will spend in thoughts of the insanity of humanity.
Some Christians never GROW because they never meditate upon the "daily bread" which God has provided.
Never let it be said among you my friends that you are "milk babies." Learn and grow beyond hearing Sunday School lessons and sermons provided by other people. Meditate and get into the "strong meat" of the Word!
READ the Word.
HEED the Word.
LIVE the Word.
Love ya,
Bruce
