THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
When a man 20 attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for.
Police arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage.
A police spokesman said that the man admitted trying to steal gasoline, but had plugged his siphon hose into the motor home's sewage tank by mistake.
The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges saying, that it was the best laugh
he'd ever had.

1 John 2:16-17
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

So many people try to get satisfaction from the creation without consulting the Creator!
Everything that is in the world was not put in the world by our Lord.
The "lust of the flesh" is from sin, not from God!
God provided all man's needs in the Garden of Eden. The basic needs were met by God's provision of food, water, and shelter. Man's love relationship was met by God's provision of a perfect marriage. Man's self-actualization needs were met by trimming the garden and walking with God.
But the "lust of the eyes" distorted God's provision! Man began to seek pleasing self more than pleasing God!
Then "the pride of life" became the mainstream of man's being. Man's desire graduated to pretentious ostentation - or bragging and boasting.
One can see, that without acknowledging our Creator as Lord and Savior, the mainstream of man's being is bragging about what he/she has achieved or obtained. But the end result is that all that "passeth away!"
However, he that makes the mainstream of his life DOING "the will of God abideth for ever!"
The greatest need of man is to know he is pleasing the Lord by surrender and service!
Obtain your greatest satisfaction today.
Surrender to and serve our Creator/Savior Jesus!
Love ya,
Bruce
