THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
It seems we Americans love to brag. One American was bragging in Australia. Everything the Aussy showed him reminded him of something bigger and better in the States. Finally a kangaroo came hopping by. "What's THAT?" the startled American asked.
"No jackrabbits in America?" came back the reply!

Isa 65:17-19
17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
18 But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people: and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.
20 There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

This is not a reference to the "new heavens and new earth" of Revelation 21 and 22. This prophecy of Isaiah refers to the millennial kingdom. One must note verses 20 and 21 which tell us that people will be born and die, and they will build houses and vineyards.
However, this "new" earth of which Isaiah speaks will be a place where resurrected saints of God will live and "reign with Him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:6)
In this present world, we have much to be concerned about because of the unrighteousness of leaders and rulers. But this "new" earth will be established in perfect righteousness under the Lordship of Jesus!
This "new" earth will not have despair! It will be a source of blessing to God and a place of rejoicing for His people (verse 18). The people of God will no longer have cause to weep (verse 19).
Can you imagine a world like that?
These things are part of that "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13) of being IN Christ!
We have MUCH for which we can be thankful!
We have MUCH which we can look forward to!
And we have MUCH which we can tell others about!
Should we not determine in 2005 that we will tell the GOOD NEWS of JESUS to everyone we know?
Brag a little on JESUS!
Love ya,
Bruce
