THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

Two little boys were talking about babies. One little boy asked, "I wonder how babies get their belly buttons."
The other little boy said, "Well, when God finishes making little babies, He lines them all up in a row. Then he walks along poking them in the belly saying, 'You're done, You're done, You're done, ...."

Ex 16:21
"And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted."

When God provided manna in the wilderness for the Israelites, they had to gather it every morning. Thus, their insufficency of self, and their dependency upon God was continually shown.
Old anointings will not suffice for today's ministry.
We must come to God every day for freshening of our relationship with Him.
God's mercies are "new every morning" (Lam. 3:23).
All too often we look to self for sufficiency. We glance aside from God to self for power. But Jesus said, "Without me, ye can do nothing." (See John 15:5)
Jesus taught that we should pray for "daily bread" (Matt. 6:11, Luke 11:3).
It is best that we come to our Lord daily, even hourly, for the "manna" that He gives.
We have need of "fresh oil" (Ps. 92:10).
Each time we come to God in prayer, we are reminded of our NEED for Him.
Each time we come to God's Word, we are reminded of His SUFFICIENCY for us.
Let us remember, His grace is "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think" (Eph 3:20).
Let us plead for the "manna" that never ceases!
Love ya,
Bruce
