THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

I'm afraid we parents are partially responsible for the lying our children do!
We insist on asking questions!

Ps 84:10
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

One day (one Sunday) is better in God's house than "a thousand" anywhere else!
One beautiful day spent in worship, praise and learning of my Lord is certainly better than 6 days in the world!
The psalmist avows that even the lowest of places in the church ("doorkeeper") is better than the highest places in "wickedness." And "wickedness" is just what the world is without Christ.
Do you prefer God's house above all other things and places in the world?
I remember walking in the Sanctuary of our church on Monday mornings when I was a pastor. I loved to go there, and just sit and talk and listen to God. There was such a sweet smell in the Sanctuary after a Sunday of worship!
Can you imagine that ONE day, when we get to heaven, there'll only be ONE day!
What a great day that will be!
Can you imagine being ANYWHERE else for eternity? What an awful thought! I'd rather wash windows, dishes or vacuum forever than to spend that ONE day without God!
And if it's going to be that way ONE day, why not TOday?
Let this be your preference:
"For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness."
Love ya,
Bruce
