THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><>

Dr. James Doty tells of speaking in a home for the aged on the subject "My name is Joseph, father of Jesus."

After the story was told, there was an elderly man who approached. He said, "Young man, you've had an UNUSUAL experience!"

Col 4:5-6
5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. 6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
(KJV)

The elderly man in the joke above, was either a good "joker," or he was a serious prospect for evangelism.

During the course of a normal day, we might have several conversations. In each of those conversations, if we are truly listening, there will be opportunities to share Christ with the other person.

Someone may share their illness with us today. Christ is the HEALER.
Someone may share their loneliness with us today. Christ is the "Friend who sticks closer than a brother."
Someone may share a fear with us today. Christ is the "perfect love" which casts out all fear.

Time is of the essence. We do not know when Jesus will come again. It could be TODAY!

Let us keep Him always in the forefront of our minds and hearts. And let us continually look for "openings" in conversations which allow us to tell others of His wonderful salvation.

Love ya,
Bruce
