THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The pastor received a call from his wife, "Honey, pick up a tube of toothpaste on your way home from the office."
At lunch, he hurriedly went into the grocery store, got a tube of toothpaste, then walked to the checkout counter. After the clerk had rang up the item, the pastor realized he didn't have his billfold. Ashamedly, he said, "Oh! I left my billfold home this morning. I don't have a dollar to pay! Maybe you could come hear one of my sermons."
The clerk said, "Well, I could come TWICE!"

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

What a wonderful Lord we have in Jesus!
He "delivered" us out of the condemnation of sin!
When we were "dead in trespasses and sin" (Eph. 2:1), He called us, convicted us; then, convinced us our only hope for eternal life was surrender to Him.
He "doth deliver" us from the pains of this earthly life!
When we are overwhelmed with seemingly more than we can bear, His "grace is sufficient" (2Cor. 12:9). He gives us peace, joy and foundational hope.
He "will yet deliver" us from death!
He has promised to "come again. and receive" us unto Himself (John 14:3).
Death, the ultimate shame of our sinfulness, is only an open door to the loving arms of Christ for those who have surrendered to Him.
He Who has saved us, is saving us now, and will yet save us!
What a great Deliverer!
Love ya,
Bruce
