THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
An American visiting in England asked at the hotel for the elevator.
The portiere looked a bit confused but smiled when he realized what the man wanted.
"You must mean the lift," he said.
"No," the American responded. "If I ask for the elevator I mean the elevator."
"Well," the portiere answered, "over here we call them lifts".
"Now you listen", the American said rather irritated, "someone in America invented the elevator."
"Oh, right you are sir," the portiere said in a polite tone, "but someone here in England invented the language."

Mankind invented the immoralities of homosexualism and lesbianism.
But God invented TRUTH!
We should indeed pray for our President.
We should earnestly pray for "...all that are in authority..." (1Tim.2:2)
Let us pray for God's Holy Word to be carried by His Holy Spirit into their hearts, and that they might be convicted of sin, convinced of the ONLY Savior, Jesus, and committed to doing what is right in His Holy Name!
We cannot help but speak the things of God, which we have learned from His Word!

Yesterday, our President signed a White House proclamation officially designating June as lesbian and gay pride month.
That which God has proclaimed as an "abomination" and "unseemly," mankind is trying to proclaim as all right! But God has ownership of all truth!
Now, as we speak "the oracles of God" (1Pet. 4:11), let us be careful to speak "the truth in love" (Eph. 4:15).
Indeed, let us be bold to speak the Holy Word of God, in order that it may be used by God's Holy Spirit as the "sword" to enlighten sinners toward the forgiveness of God.
There is no sin which God cannot forgive.
But unconfessed sin, God will not forgive.
Let us not forget that our ministry is that of "reconciliation." (2Cor.5:18)
