THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

We should pray for our pastor's representation before others every day.
If his hair is gray - he's too old.
If he's young, he doesn't have enough experience.
If his wife sings in the choir, she's presuming.
If she doesn't, she's not interested in his work.
If he reads from notes, he's boring.
If he preaches extemporaneously, he isn't deep enough.
If he stays in the study, he doesn't "mix" with the people.
If he's out and about, he should be in the study getting a good sermon.
If he visits the wealthy, he's an aristorcrat.
If he visits the poor, he's playing to the grandstand.
If he visits the unsaved, he's neglecting the saints.

Ps 65:11
Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
KJV

**********************************************************************************

All the year long, and every day in it, God is pouring out His "goodness." Whether it is raining, snowing or the sun is shining, God is visiting the earth and "crowning" each moment with His goodness.

The Bible says, "...the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." (2 Chron 16:9) God is looking and moving in "paths" to bless us.

Where will we find Him moving and looking today? In the same "paths" in which He walked yesterday!

He is walking in mercy, grace, kindness, gentleness, peace, temperance, meekness, and love.
He is walking in teaching, upholding, ministering, fellowship, missions and evangelism.

Just as rain falls to nurture the earth and help things grow, spiritual rain is falling daily to nurture God's children and help them grow. That spiritual rain never ceases, and we can never get too much of it!

In order to know His "fatness" dropping, and His "goodness" crowning, we must walk in HIS PATHS!

As the well-known author of "Experiencing God" (Dr. H. Blackaby) has said, "We must find out where God is working and JOIN Him!"

Oh, Lord! Help me to walk in Your "paths" today!

Love ya,
Bruce
