THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><>
((Thanks to JoAnn for the joke today!))

A little girl was pounding way on her father's word processor.
He asked her, "What are you doing, honey?"
She said, "I'm writing a story."
He asked, "What's the story about?"
She said, "I don't know, I can't read!"

Ps 90:9
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

As we "pound away" in our lives, I wonder sometimes if we aren't writing a story that we cannot read. Sometimes we're so very busy! But we seem to get nothing accomplished. Do you ever feel that way? I do.
The Bible teaches us that God "reads" our life story. And His judgment is the only one that really counts. He's the One Who decides our place of eternal existence, and determines the rewards for our service to Him. God knows ALL the story!
But other people see our life story also. And how we live does have some influence on other people. How are they reading MY life story TODAY? What values am I expressing that are worthy of attention?
As Christians, we should determine that TODAY we will live our lives as a "story" that tells of the value of Christ in our lives. It's a DAILY struggle, because incidences and instances in life interfere with our plans.
Today, let me talk WITH Christ and talk Christ.
Today, let me walk WITH Christ and show others His love.
Today, instead of "pounding away" at my life's story, let me live it with purpose.
Love ya,
Bruce

As my life's drama unfolds, let the main character be Christ in me.
