THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
My grandmother had her last child when she was forty one. He's only 12 years older than me. Back in 1932 that was remarkable.
When asked how she felt about having a child so late in life, Grandma said, "I just hope I live to see him graduate high school."
She not only lived to see him graduate, but also to get married and have 2 children.

Gen 21:1-7
1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
3 And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
5 And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.
6 And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.
7 And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

God "visited" Sarah just as He had promised.
There's a little note I wish to add here. It seems ironic that the child should be named "Isaac," which means he laughs. In Genesis 18:12, Sarah laughed when she heard our Lord say that she would have a child. But now she was NINETY, and gave birth to her first and only child.
Abraham did as God had instructed; he circumcised Isaac at 8 days of age. Was this cruel parental treatment of the child? No. It was for the child's own good. Is spanking cruel parental treatment of a child? No! It is for the child's own good. Keep in mind, spanking is not beating.
Look at verse 7; Who would have thought it? But God always sends His promises in due time.
1)God wrote His Word for our guidance, according to His promise.
Praise God for his PROMISES!
Love ya,
2)God sent His Holy Spirit to fill and guide us, according to His promise.
3)God sends His angels to minister to us, according to His promise.
4)God sent His only son to die for us, according to His promise.
5)Christ was resurrected on the third day, according to His promises.
