THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A man and his five year old son I were headed to McDonald's one day.
They passed a car accident.

The father had taught his son that when they saw something terrible like that, they should say a prayer for those who might be hurt. So, he pointed and said to his son, "We should pray."

From the back seat Dad heard his son's request:
"Please, God, don't let those cars block the entrance to McDonald's."

See how important it is that we attend daily to prayer!

Jesus taught that "men ought always to pray, and not to faint." (Lk 18:1)
Jesus also taught that things would be difficult in this world, therefore believers must pray earnestly (Lk 21:36).
Paul said in 1Thess 5:17 we should "pray without ceasing!"

Our very first prayer is that God would forgive and save us.
Then, we begin to pray that God will keep us: hold us in righteousness and keep us from sinfulness.
We pray for help in times of trouble.
We pray for strength in times of trial.

And, perhaps most of all, we pray for God to renew our devotion to Him and to rekindle the fire of revival in our hearts.

It is through prayer that we seek God for every need.
It is through prayer that we thank God.

There's never been a time when the world needed Christians on their knees more than NOW!

PRAY!
And WATCH IN THANKSGIVING for God's answers!

Love ya,
Bruce
