THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
<><><><><>
Dr. Ned Wiley tells of a time when he was preaching in a small rural church on Mother's Day. An elderly lady, who was very hard of hearing was audibly encouraging him with almost every statement he made.
She was using terms like, "AMEN!" "PREACH IT BROTHER!" and "THAT'S RIGHT!"
Near the end of his sermon, he was dramatizing motherly love. He made a cross of himself, and said, "If I were hanged on the highest hill, Mother of mine, Mother of mine,..."
Just then the old lady said, "GRANT IT, LORD!"

Titus 1:1-3
1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;
2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
(KJV)

The preaching of Jesus Christ is "the hope of eternal life." It is not a hope that is seen, but one that is understood fully by "acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness."
This hope SHALL BE seen, either upon our demise, or upon the return of Christ.
The preaching of Jesus Christ is "committed" to all Christians so that we might share the good news of eternal salvation offered by God's mercy. It is committed to all Christians upon the commandment of our Lord, Jesus
(see Matt. 28:18-20).
PREACH IT BROTHER!
