THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

In the comic strip "Peanuts," Snoopy is sitting outside at his dog food bowl. It's Thanksgiving Day. He says, "How about that? Everyone is eating turkey today, but just because I'm a dog I get dog food."
Then he goes to his house, gets on top of the roof, and says, "Of course, it could have been worse. I could have been born a turkey!"

1 Peter 1:18-19
18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

The blood of Jesus is "precious blood." It is more precious than all of the silver and gold of the world.
He was "one Holy Lamb."
But He was also, the great "I AM."
Jesus' blood has purchasing power. From the auction block of slavery to sin, we are purchased with "holy blood." God only had one body, and He gave it as substitutionary atonement for our sins. The judgment that should have fallen upon me, fell on Him. By the offering of His body, Jesus propitiated, or appeased God's anger toward sinners. The "Innocent" was sacrificed for the guilty!
Jesus' blood has cleansing power. From His head, hands, feet and side flows the "river" which becomes the cleansing "fountain" for all mankind. "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow ; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1:18) The blood of Jesus flowed down the cross to the ground which was cursed because of our sin. The "Holy One" was given for unholy sinners!
Jesus' blood has preserving power. Because of His offering, we are "passed over" by the "death angel!" If we belong to Jesus, when the "death angel" comes for us, Christ Himself shall intercede and carry us to His bosom. The "Lion of the tribe of Judah" ROARS and we are SAVED! We are preserved from death and given heaven!
Jesus' blood has overcoming power. The Bible says, "..they overcame him through the blood of the lamb" (Revelation 12:11). The darts of temptation and the arrows of accusation from the devil are overcome by the blood of Christ. The saved stand sanctified before God in the blood of the Lamb, and the devil grovels in defeat! And because of His table full of mercy and grace, we no longer desire the garbage of the world.
Yes!
"There is power, power, wonder working power
In the precious blood of the Lamb!"
