THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
The headlines of a local paper read:
CYCLONE STRIKES HERE
No real damage was done,
only the local Baptist
church was destroyed.

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Most folk would agree that God is UNlimited in ability.
He can perform things "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think."
Most folk would agree that the "glory" of the church belongs to Christ for "all ages."
He is God-incarnate Who came to pay for our sins.
He is "the Lord of Glory" Who was crucified for the church, and instituted it.
The church building is only the physical house through which the real church works!
However, I'm concerned that those same people doubt Christ brings Himself glory and performs "exceeding abundantly" by "the power that WORKETH in US!"
Ephesians 2:1 says, "...you hath He quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins..."
We are "quickened" (made alive) for a purpose!
That purpose is to act as the "body" of Christ here on earth!
We are strengthened by His Holy Spirit.
Christ's power is energized in us.
The REAL DAMAGE to a church is INACTIVITY for Christ!
Let us then be diligent to bring Him "glory" in all that we do!
