THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

<><><><><>

Paige Steele, one of our youth, went to New York on a mission trip with Bro. Shane Duke and Crossover Ministries. She said that on one of their "outings" they were on the subway, passing out tracts.

Then they began to sing songs about Jesus. One man asked them where they were from. They told him, Louisiana. He remarked, "You guys are CRAZY!" and moved to another part of the train!

Ps 33:1-4
1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. 2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. 4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
(KJV)

Christians are never "righteous" in their own right, but are CALLED righteous by our Lord. We are called righteous because Christ has suffered and died in order that it might be so. 2Corinthians 5:21 says,

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

Because God looks upon those who have surrendered to Christ as righteous, we REJOICE in Him! We PRAISE Him! It is a natural part of our life, because of what He has done for us.

We are glad to praise God with a "loud noise" (verse 3 above), because we are "washed in the blood," "sealed in the Spirit," and headed for an eternal home of glory!

CRAZY? Well, maybe. But I think we could more call it HAPPY!

Sing a song about Jesus today!

REJOICE!

Love ya,
Bruce
