We can look BACK on good times in America and remember pleasant days.
Yet we are quite dissatisfied with the present.
Is it due to the politicians?
Is it due to bad economic decisions?
Or, is it due to a neglect of prayer on the part of Christians?
Remember, God has promised:
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
(2 Chron 7:14)
Neglected prayer is not only the beginning of a decline in our relationship with God; it also removes the hand of God which provides providential protection.
When we allow ourselves to be more occupied with other things than with our relationship with God, then we are headed for difficulty. For, we have placed our minds upon the things of the flesh more than the things of the Spirit (Rom. 8:5).
Let us remember, and PRAY!
