THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
John 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world."
The above Scripture was fulfillment of the following prophecy.
Gen 22:8
And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering:" so they went both of them together.

Matthew 27:45-50
45 Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.
46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. 50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

_______THOUGHT_________________________________________________________
On the day Abraham told Isaac God would provide Himself a lamb, God provided a RAM, not a lamb (See Gen 22:13).
John the Baptist knew that Jesus was the genuine "Lamb of God!"
On Friday, the day of Passover, in the year 30AD, Jesus was crucified.
The Son of God became THE Lamb of God for all mankind!
Isaiah said,
"5... he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth." (Isa 53:5-7)
The "Sun of Righteousness" was suspended in "darkness" when men's sin crucified the Savior!
It was the ugliest, blackest moment in the history of mankind when the life of God in flesh was given freely for man's aberrations!
In Luke 23:53, Jesus had said to those who came to take Him with swords, "..this is your hour, and the power of darkness."
Let us remember on this "GOOD FRIDAY" that Jesus Christ died in and of the "darkness" of our sin!
And let us remember that He, being God in flesh, paid unto God the atonement price of our sin!
Love ya,
Bruce
