THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
A man built his life upon good works.
Each time he would do a good work, he added a "rung" to a ladder which would lead to heaven.
Finally, he placed the last rung in the ladder.
And just as he was about to enter heaven, a big foot came out and kicked the ladder away!
As he was falling the man heard,
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber." (John 10:1)

The written Word of God contains the revelation of the living Word of God.
The "Scriptures" are the unveiling of the Person.
The influential leaders of Judaism, in Jesus' physical lifetime, believed that by "the Scriptures" they had "eternal life." But Jesus told them to "search" (Greek - ereunao), or investigate the Scriptures. Then they would find that JESUS (which means "Jehovah is salvation") is the central topic.
In Exodus 15:2, the Scripture says "The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him."
And in Revelation 1:8, Jesus says, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."
The beginning and the ending of all things, including salvation, are in JESUS!
"Search the Scriptures!"
In them, you will find the revelation of the God of love, Who "gave Himself a ransom for all!" (1Timothy 2:6)
JESUS is "the way, the truth and the life," (John 14:6).
And no man can come to God except by HIM!
