THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
So far today, God, I've done all right.
I haven't gossiped, haven't lost my temper, haven't been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or over-indulgent.
But in a few minutes, Lord, I'm going to get out of bed and from then on I'm probably going to need a lot more help!
Thank you. In Jesus name.
Amen

Psalm 24
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

"Who shall" go and dwell with God in His "holy place?"
The answer is found in verse 6.
Those that "seek" God.
Those who "seek" God are compared to Jacob.
Jacob was a sinner, but he was diligent about being obedient to God because he was surrendered to God.
He recognized God as sovereign and begged God's mercy and forgiveness.
Then he "sought" God daily.
And that is the description that is given in verses 4-5.
People who recognize God as Sovereign and Master of their lives, and seek to obey Him are GIVEN "clean hands, and a pure heart."
We certainly don't have them on our own!
God GIVES them to us through the blood of Jesus Christ.
The person who is obedient to God is given "the blessing from the Lord" (verse 5).
That blessing is to be called "righteous" by the grace of God's salvation.
By His wonderful grace, God crowns those who "seek" Him with His own righteousness!
Love ya,
