THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

On one of the earlier editions of the television show "America's Funniest Home Videos" there was a segment from Japan. It showed a brother and sister coming to a very large break in the sidewalk. The boy made it across easily, but his little sister was afraid.

After several moments of trying to coax her across, he finally laid down across the break in the sidewalk. Then his sister walked across him to the other side.

Needless to say, that video caught the hearts of all those who watched.

I used to love it when my children would crawl up into my lap and say,
"Daddy, I LOVE you!"
Then I loved it when my grandchildren would crawl into my lap and say,
"Poppy, I LOVE you!"

Alas, they're all older now.
And I suppose they're beyond that simple jumbilant expression.
Of course, they still say "I love you." However, it's not with that beaming little face looking up into your eyes.

How long has it been since you, my Christian friend, made a prayer of five simple words:
"I LOVE You, Lord! Amen!"

The words "Take good heed" are derived from Hebrew words meaning to: diligently and speedily reserve and preserve a special exuberant expression of love toward our Lord.

Take time today!
Take time EVERY day!
With genuine and joyful expression, tell the Lord that you LOVE Him!

Love ya,
Bruce
