THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

A man was having great difficulty in his life.
Worry was consuming him, and he couldn't sleep at night.

He went to a psychiatrist, who suggested that he engage in a mindful activity like counting sheep.

Next week, the man came back for another visit. He said, "It ain't workin' Doc! The first night, I counted 10,000 sheep. Then, I sheered them, and took them to the market. But I lost $3,000 on the deal!!"

John 14:26-27
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

God's "Comforter" to us is His "Holy Ghost."
The Greek word for "Comforter" is parakletos, and means: One who comes alongside.

When we study the Bible, believing in Christ, God's Holy Ghost teaches us about Jesus.
As believers, when we go about the living of our lives, He reminds us what we have learned about Jesus.

The peace that Jesus gives believers is His presence by the Holy Ghost.
This peace is given to ALL believers and remains constantly with them; because, HE remains constantly with them.

God has made special provision for us through the gift of His Holy Ghost presence.
Let us avail ourselves of His wonderful presence!

Study the Bible, and let His illuminating and instructional presence guide you in learning.
As we live, let us listen for Him to give us recollection of truth so that we may apply it to our lives.

And, above all, when life becomes turbulent, remember His presence is PEACE!

Love ya,
Bruce
