THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

(My thanks to Ben for this one!)

A fella in a large town was driving through a red light and saw a camera flash.
AHA! He thought, "They're trying to catch me speeding."

Knowing he was at the correct speed, he drove around the block and came through the red light again. Sure enough, another flash.

Being certain he had been traveling the correct speed, he drove around the block three more times. Each time the camera flashed again.

"Well," he thought, "when they send those tickets, I'll be ready!"

A week later, he received five tickets....
for driving without a seat belt!!!

Sometimes, like the man at the red light above, we're just too "honery" for our own good.
It is good to be humble and OBEDIENT!

Jesus was obedient, both to the laws of God and of man.
He was "made perfect" even though He "suffered" through that obedience.
And, Jesus, even "suffered" the cross, having broken no law.

Shall we complain, when we are "obedient" and yet, we "suffer?"
NO! Let us be humble and obedient and suffer for righteousness sake!

To suffer for right and for Christ brings Him glory!

2 Tim 2:11-12 says, "11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
12 If we suffer, we shall also reign with him:"

Some things in this ole world are just not RIGHT!
But, let us, who belong to Christ, be obedient and suffer them for His glory!

Love ya,
Bruce
