THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS

DAILY DEVOTIONS

HI!

Dad stood on the ground and called to his on on the porch.
”Jump to me, and I’ll catch you.”

The son gleefully and trustingly jumps to his dad.

Dad’s hands skillfully slide under the boy’s arms, and
he is safe.

Isa 51:5-6
5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth,
and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait
upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the
earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke,
and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell
therein shall die in like manner:
but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness
shall not be abolished.

Light from the Word.

Webster’s defines trust as: belief that someone or something is
reliable, good, honest, effective, etc.

There is no better visual description of trust than a child jumping
from a high place into the open arms of his dad or mom.
The child literally abandons fear of height and pain trusting
the parent to keep him/her from harm!

THIS is the idea of “trust” in Isaiah 55:5 above!

Can you truthfully say you have abandoned fear, and placed
your TRUST in the Lord?
That’s what Jesus said we are to do in order to receive
”everlasting life!”

No matter how much your world is in turmoil, you can be
ETERNALLY safe in the arms of Jesus!

Take the JUMP!!

Love ya!
