THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
An economist is a trained professional paid to guess wrong about the economy.
An econometrician is a trained professional paid to use computers to guess wrong about the economy.
One says the economy is rising.
Another says it's falling.
And, the next day, it's vice versa!
In the meantime, my investments have a cold.
The stocks are draining,
And the bonds are aching.

2 Kings 6:15-17
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

What do we do when we feel the world is closing in on us?
FIRST: Let us remember: "they that be WITH us are more than they that be with them" and are against us!
"They that be WITH us" are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
"They that be WITH us" are the innumerable hosts of angels; who, by the way are God's "ministers" to us for His grace and help (Hebrews 1:7).
And, "how shall we do?"
We shall do well naming and believing the Creator God, the Sustainer of the Universe, the Almighty, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace as our Savior! For "greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world!" (1 John 4:4)
SECOND: let us pray: that God will "open" the "eyes" of our spirits to realize His presence, power and provision.
He is ever WITH us and has promised that He will not "forsake" us!
He is always "on" your "side" (Ps. 91:7)!
Therefore, when trouble is on every side, we can be "perplexed, but not in despair" (2Cor. 4:8)
When "fightings" are on the outside of us, and "fears" are on the inside of us (2Cor. 7:5), let us remember that God is WITH us!
Love ya,
Bruce
