THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
John hired a guide and went hunting in Maine. They didn't see a thing all day, though they had been tracking what seemed to be a large deer.
Almost dark, John realized the guide was hopelessly lost. He said, "I thought you were the best guide in Maine."
The guide said, "Yes, I am. But I think we're in Canada now!"

Isaiah 51
4 Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
8 For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.

"Hearken" means to pay close attention. Here God promises a "law" which will illuminate proper judgment to ALL people.
God's Word in the Bible has been used as a basis for man's law for centuries. God's Word deals with SIN, and thus provides a basic structure for all law.
In verse 5, God says that He KEEPS His "righteousness." It is always NEAR - never removed from Him. It is this righteousness that demands salvation be offered to all mankind.
The "isles" (or Gentiles) all must rely upon ONE GOD for salvation.
There is NO other way.
Heaven and earth will fade away (verse 6), but two things remain forever. God's righteousness will never depart from Him, and His free gift of salvation is ETERNAL!
Many would mock the value of clinging to such hope as eternal salvation through surrender to Christ (verse 8). But God says we should "hearken" to Him, and know that the mockers will fade away to nothingness. Yet, God's righteousness and salvation is ETERNAL!
Many will claim to guide to heaven.
But there's only ONE that really knows the way - JESUS!
Love ya,
