THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Usually, when I'm invited to preach revival in a church, I ask the pastor if there's any certain subject he feels the Lord would have me approach.
One pastor said, "No. Just come and 'let your hair down.'"
I thought to myself, that would be relatively WEAK!
I used to be blessed with hair, but now I'm a victim of "fallout!"

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Here is an exclamatory burst of praise!
This proverbial truth makes us contemplate the "blessing of the LORD!"
For, Jesus said, God "maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust." (Matt 5:45)
One cannot help but note that the word "blessing" is singular in form.
The meaning, then, is that God's "blessing" is a continual knowledge and not an occasional rarety.
For instance, all men enjoy the "blessing" of the Lord which brings: awakening to a new day, sunshine, rain, rest and sleep, etc. These are continual, and fall upon the "just and the unjust."
However, God's continual "blessing" upon the saved are quite different:
faith, joy, hope, peace, the promise of eternal "rest" in that place called heaven.
How WONDERFUL to know the "blessing of the Lord!"
It makes a person RICH in spiritual worth (which is the most important "bottom line").
There is NO SORROW in the riches of knowing God and his abundant blessings!
Love ya,
