THROUGH THE BIBLE IN THREE YEARS
Jeannie complained to her Mom, "My stomach hurts."
Mom said, "Here, eat this banana. Your stomach hurts because it's empty. You just need to put something IN it."
Later that evening Dad's boss came for dinner.
He complained of having a headache.
Jeannie said, "Well, it's empty! You just need to put something IN it!"

What ignominy!
The head of The King of kings and Lord of lords was crowned with a platted crown of thorns.
The tines pulled rudely into his brow, and precious blood drained from His Holy head!
The physical wounding wasn't enough!
Then He was "mocked"!
He Who came to propitiate God for us!
Upon Him was laid the aggregate of our sins!
The Creator scorned by the creation!
Yet it was not for the sins of those participating only, that Christ died.
It was for OUR sin also, "because He laid down His life for US!" (1John 3:16)
What wondrous LOVE!
He Who was crowned with ignominy, gives a "crown of righteousness" (2Timothy 4:8) to all who surrender to Him!
O Lord please forgive me, for I have crowned you rudely with my sin!
Help me to crown you now, as Lord of all that I am!
